The original ghost tour company in Shepherdstown, WV, Sharpsburg, MD and Rock Hall, MD. Small Town Ghost Tours was founded in 2008 by Meredith Moore when Sharpsburg Ghost Tours debuted in September of 2008. Small Town Ghost Tours is the original ghost tour company for Sharpsburg 2008, Shepherdstown 2013 and Rock Hall 2020. The founder has had many paranormal experiences in and around Sharpsburg, Maryland ever since she attended Shepherd College in the 1980s. Each Small Town Ghost Tour encourages history buffs, ghost hunters and psychic mediums to book a public tour or a private tour.
Learn the rich history of each charming town while strolling through their streets and alleys, and hearing true ghost stories along the way. Occasionally, a spirit will be witnessed! Each tour ends at a local establishment to enjoy refreshments and spirits to honor the spirits of each town.

Meredith Moore
Founder/Owner/Tour Guide
Shepherd College graduate 1988. Meredith is a "sensitive" with many personal experiences to tell during each tour. Meredith started Sharpsburg Ghost Tours in 2008 and Shepherdstown Ghost Tours in 2013, and most recently "Rock Hall Pirates of the Bay Ghost Tours" in 2020. Meredith is the pioneer ghost tour company for each town, being the first to start ghost tour companies in Sharpsburg, Shepherdstown and Rock Hall. During the writing phases of "Ghosts of Shepherdstown" (a TV show that aired in 2016), the writers of the show consulted with Meredith on several occasions and went on the ghost tour with Meredith as the tour guide to get stories and ideas for the show.
Meredith resides in Sharpsburg, Maryland and is a happy wife to, John Kelly Moore, and proud mother of her daughter, stepdaughter and stepson, and proud grandmother of her step granddaughter. Meredith has witnessed many ghosts and spirits related to the Civil War, moonshining in Frog Hollow, the C&O Canal and modern day spirits as well. Meredith is known for being a friendly, genuine and interesting tour guide.
Rebecca
Tour Guide
A scientist by day and a ghost tour guide by night, Rebecca spends a lot of time contemplating both the hows and the whys of the universe. Rebecca currently lives in Sharpsburg, Maryland, and has been a guide for Small Town Ghost Tours since the Fall of 2017. Her tours are known for bad puns, prop comedy, and being trailed by entire clowders of cats.

Hi! My name is Chelsea. I'm originally from California, but West Virginia and the East Coast have stolen my heart. I have two young boys, and my husband, Jack, and I have been married for 8 years. I love all things Halloween, witchy, paranormal, spiritual, and odd. My family and I love to be outdoors and spend our weekends on adventures. In my spare time I love to be on social media, binging Netflix, visiting local historical sites, and eating food! I became a tour guide for Meredith in 2022 and I can't wait to be your Ghost Host!
Anita
Tour Guide
Anita Hoffman has been a Ghost Tour Guide with Shepherdstown Ghost Tours since 2014. She is also a professional Archivist and works full-time for Heritage Frederick, Frederick, MD. Her background has provided our Ghost Tours with research into the historical record to give context to our stories and sometimes provide historical based theories for the hauntings. Anita is also a sensitive and was conceived/born in a spirited house! She is hoping to develop her gift further as a healer.
She is the mother of 3 grown children and has 2 sweet dogs (her familiars!) She and her partner, Christopher, have lived in the area for 11 years. She is planning to relocate soon – but you may still catch her on guiding a tour or reading tea leaves during our seasonal events!
